The mathematician Constantin Caratheodory was honoured by the Hellenic Mathematical Society – the Magnesia Branch, at an event held at the Cultural Centre of Nea Ionia, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his death.

The mathematician and director of the Caratheodory Museum, Athanasios Lipordezis in his speech made a retrospective of his life, showing the audience why he was a great man, a patriot and a mathematician.
