He worked with zeal, methodicalness and love for Komotini, youth and science, through his dual capacity as founder of the Caratheodory’s Friends Association and founder of the Secondary Education Tutoring Centre ‘2001 Milestone’.

It is with deep sorrow that Komotini, Thrace and Hellenism as a whole must bid farewell to a great scientist of our country and an honorable and true Man above all else, who passed away, leaving behind him an unfulfilled void. Unfortunately, Athanasios Lipordezis is no longer with us and words cannot describe the feelings of the management and employees of “X”.Athanasios Lipordezis overcame many obstacles in his life, he struggled with chronic health problems, but he never lost his smile, his wit, his appetite for science, for life, for education. He passed away at the age of 68, but forever with us is his great historical legacy to our country, a place that as of Friday, February 17, 2023, has been rendered poorer in spirit.
