It is not my opinion, but that of the scientific community in the field of mathematics: Caratheodory is clearly the greatest Greek descendant of Pythagoras. He is one of the greatest Greek mathematicians since antiquity. The case of Caratheodory teaches us two things: First, who we are as Greeks, something we often ignore. Second, that we must learn to honor the greatest scientists of our nation.

A personality like Caratheodory, not only gives prominence to world-class mathematics, but also to the cultural power of Thrace that gave birth to him. The idea of creating a venue for the display of his work is crucial and insightful. Well done!

It is not just for one day, but we continue and we do not stop at anything because here we are in the scope of time, to meet again with the future of memory.

An excellent museum that highlights the personality of an all-encompassing scientist who originated from Thrace. The Caratheodory Museum gives the general public the opportunity to get to know an individual of noble spirit who adorned the halls of the universities of Europe and America with his presence. Congratulations are due to the President of the Museum and to all those who have joined the cause of showcasing this significant figure in history.

It was a great honour for me to visit today the unique museum of Caratheodory, this great Greek mathematician. The objects, the letters, the reference to his family tree and especially the one-of-a-kind correspondence between Einstein and Caratheodory take us back in time, teach us the importance of the work of this cosmopolitan Thracian scientist. It is our duty to continue to promote the museum and to honour the many years of effort to collect this rare material. Our desire is to continuously see an increase in the museum's visitor numbers.

Deputy Minister of Tourism

I once again had the pleasure of being guided through the Caratheodory Museum by my good old friend Sakis, who has dedicated his life to the work of the great Greek mathematician. If the first time I felt emotional, today I was overcome by admiration because the Museum has become an intellectual oasis. I hope it will evolve into a Foundation for Mathematical Studies. And it will, if the local community embraces the intellectual capital it possesses. Sakis himself is an intellectual capital for Komotini and for Thrace. And from Thrace, Greece begins.
